Ambyon began with a personal experience. In 2012, after the unexpected birth of the daughter of our CEO Willem‑Jan and his wife, they saw how staff shortages directly affect patients and families. During the COVID‑19 pandemic, he witnessed again how quickly care systems become strained.

With years of robotics experience behind him, he founded Ambyon in 2022 with one clear belief: technology should be built with healthcare, not for it. He started doing more research, which confirmed the core problem: nurses lose hours each day on logistical tasks instead of patient care. Ambyon was created to change that. Our mission is simple: to give care professionals back the time and focus they were trained for: caring.
